I had a very dissapointing visit last night. The pub had run out of cider when I fancied an Aspell and the remaining beer selection was average with nothing special on the ale front. The decor was also pretty average and I thought some more effort could have been made in view of the fantastic location. Worst part of all though as the stench eminating from the toilets - unreasonably strong stale urine that was so bad that my girlfriend left early!

Not a bad place usual largers on offer but no ales. If it's too crowded in the main bar venture downstairs for a bit more privacy. Normal pub food on offer.
Good place to have a beer while waiting for the line to die down for Sophie's steakhouse up the road.

Ok pub and good place to drink when the sun's shining. A tad expensive and occasionally full of people trying too hard to look cool (it's just a pub!). Staff are often a bit young, inexperienced and aloof. The split level layout of the pub is fun but with no ventilation in the basement it gets seriously smoky. The 333 upstairs is a perfectly adequate place for a late night drink but hits you in the pocket.

I'm not surprised to hear that 333 ran out of beer!

I had a bad experience there recently, the staff were rude and arrogant and gave the impression that they are only running the place to make a buck. Your better off downstairs in the Goat which is far more friendy and organised. (and yes the have more than 1 beer to chose from!)

I hired the 333 bar on a recent Friday and had the best evening ive had in a while. The management were quite simply outstanding, (Paul and Fish) in the setting up of the night and during the course of the evenining. I would highly reccomend the bar to anyone who is thinking of using the facilities. A truly outstanding setup with a management that know what they are doing.

In reply to JAMES - "the fact that they only stock one beer made life very simple for my mates " - this is NOT a good thing.

i do not know what happened to this sophie girl when she went to the The 333 Club, but when myself and a mate booked a thirtieth there the management dealt with our requests for canapes and champagne quickly and efficiently. i had a great many mates come back to me and say that it was an amazing night had by all.
the fact that they only stock one beer made life very simple for my mates and for the girls there was a large cocktail list to keep them happy, the bar staff and the management were bubbly and very friendly. i would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to book a party.

Goat in Boots is a nice looking venue. However I would strongly discourage anyone for booking a party at the 333 bar upstairs.

I have 2 friends who booked birthdays there. The first one was booked a month in advance and when my friend called a week before to check everything was OK, 333 advised that it had been double booked and she could not be accomodated!

Mistakes like this do happen but what really amazed me was a few months later another friend booked 333. On arrival we discovered that they only had 1 bottled beer available (Corona). By 11.30 this had run out and they insisted on charging the full £5 for a spirit and mixer alternative.

When I voiced my concern to a member of staff about the bar running out of beer, the response was "so what do you expect me to do about it!"

Book here and your chances of disappointment are high, nevertheless it is possible that the issue of poor management will be dealt with sooner or later and things will improve...until the, I will drink elsewhere!
