No great loss... the food was diabolical. I emailed the company and didn't receive a reply.

Closed due to trouble apparently.
vanburkson - 16 Aug 2010 14:24
Boring. There are better places close by in Staines, with better beer too.
stevebex - 21 Feb 2010 17:47
The food is nice and the Latin dancing is great to watch from a sad old mans point of view anyway (wink wink) but the service is pretty poor. Again another case of high bar staff turn around and no real quality of service. For me its a five out of 10 as its a bit plastic but its clean and you feel safe in there.

I recently visited Que Pasa for lunch with some colleagues and we were extremely impressed with the service and the quality of the food. The staff were friendly, polite and took the time to chat to us. We visited on a friday and tried their fajita offer, all fajitas for 4.95. The food was delicious and served promptly. I will definitely come again!

Haven't been to Que Pasa in just under a year and was really suprised at the change of the place i went with my partner for the Soul Train event for valentines it was a great sunday night out......thinking this could possible become a regular place ......definatly worth a pop in for those who haven't been for a while
Staines_local - 19 Feb 2009 13:26

Que Pasa Staines is under new management and is due for a complete gutting and refurbishment in November.
All the staff and door staff have been replaced with professionals.

As from the 29th November there will monthly Latin Nights with Live Bands, Latin Dj's and Dance Shows.

There will also be Salsa Classes on Monday nights from 24th November, plus comedy nights and fashion shows!

The theme will be a new fresh look with entertainment alongside, drinking, dancing and dining!

Oh Que Pasa, what a dive! I dont actually think I can recall anyone saying a good word about this venue, staff or it's customers. The music is limited (apparently if its not on the computer they can't play it) and the DJ sounds like he is scared of talking to people and it's always too loud. However, with the plant life, it's worth visiting for a minisafari, espcially with the number of animals you'll see when visiting for 10 minutes!

My advice to all human beings is... avoid this place if you can..!! You can actually have a nicer evening head-first in a dustbin than come in here...!!!
Young people...there are better pubs & clubs on the face of this earth to go to than this ill-run den of iniquity...!!!!!!!!
Personally, I would rather go 10 rounds with Mike Tyson than set foot in this excuse for a pub/club!
Do not waste your money, your time, or your blood, on a dive like this!!
I will never set foot in a 'Que Pasa' ever again...! is that clear enough! Do NOT go there, if you value your health, your well-being, or your facial features!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God I hate this place...can you tell..??!!
TeeJay - 13 Dec 2007 00:11
They wouldn't let my boyfriend in because he was wearing trainers and then called him a tramp...
Do tramps wear Moschino i don't think so....

Very unfriendly....

sterile, emotionally draining, i always feel tired after being there, like they pump carbon dioxide in through the vents!
bar staff ok but a bit thick and slow!
generally forgettable
unclesam - 9 Oct 2007 18:03
i used to like this place it was okay to go in for a few drinks, but i will never enter this place again after the way my friend was attacked by a bouncers on saturday, they got the wrong bloke supposedly he hadnt paid for his drink so they came charging over with no explanation and dragged him out he didnt even have chance to speak before they threw him out on the pavement and cracked his head open and knocked one of his teeth out, i seriously would not feel safe going in this pub again i was with my friend all night so i know he paid, they started bringing a first aid kit and ice out when they heard me on the phone to the police..I THINK THIS BAR SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!

XXXXX

Has really really gone down hill since the Toad days. Lots of 40-somethings falling out of tops they probably should of worn when they were 18. Like a Blind-Date Shop for over 40s. Terrible!!
anonymous - 8 May 2007 22:40
This place is great. It acts like a retard magnet. As long as this place, like the Toad before it, remains open.....the rest of the town is safe.

It is full of people who think that Club 18 - 30 holidays are a pretty neat idea. Many of them just stand looking at the pole. ( because it's bright and sparkly ).

After just one visit I was very much reminded of the Zombies in the shopping mall in the first Dawn of the Dead movie.

Asbo City.

Strictly for those for whom Further Education is not an option. Oh, and don't ask the short bouncer how his car is....

Last time I went here was on xmas eve, ok a little while ago now but the service was so shit we left after paying 6 to get in after being in there for 45mins. I havnt been back since and dont intend to go back.

***AVOID****
JAB80 - 22 May 2006 11:23
Horrible. Cold in winter, hard work getting a pint. Most staff seem to avoid serving behind the bar.
chimp - 14 Apr 2006 10:12
With much sadness I have to say, Que Pasa is terrible!

I used to love The Toad, food during the day, music in the evenings, became quite a regular.

However, after returning to Que Pasa last weekend I was sadened to see the place half empty. The half that was full was 90% 45+ wearing trainers or tops two sizes too small (probably would of fitted when they were 20 and all bits less saggy)

bouncers friendly enough, but looked liked they couldn't wait to get home. Same for the bar staff.

Finally, how cheap does the 'pole' make the venue!

Awful.
anonymous - 9 Apr 2006 22:13
Popped in for a drink on Saturday night. Staff looked bored, DJ looked bored, punters looked bored.

Ironically, the notice board was interesting!
anonymous - 16 Jan 2006 22:58
You got ripped off super_i. I shamefully admit I used to work there and your round should have been 10.50. Not much better but thought I'd let you know!
anonymous - 16 Nov 2005 16:36
I wasted 3.00 last saturday to spend an evening with a dj who would rather be watching paint dry, and approx 30 other people who also wasted 3.00.

Dull, empty, uninspiring!
anonymous - 14 Nov 2005 23:35
Went in here on friday night, it wasn't very busy and i could tell why.....this place has no atmosphere, even the dj sounded bored and fed up!!!
anonymous - 18 Oct 2005 11:39
Nice place but they are very very expensive. I paid 12 for 2 single vodka and coke and a small glass of white wine.
super_j - 21 Sep 2005 14:50
I LOVE THE MUSIC IN THIS PLACE, THE DJ IS A GOD!!

HA HA HA HA!
anonymous - 18 Sep 2005 05:29
had several bad experiences in here, there is knowwhere decent to go in staines any more except ha ha bar and that closes at 11!
laurab84uk - 23 Aug 2005 12:38
Quite nice for a cocktail during the day, and they have an excellent variety of non-alcholic ones. No ales though, which means I haven't tried it after 7pm.

Food is of the Gordon Ramsey-baiting variety, deep-fried/microwaved to within an inch of it's life. If you want quality Tapas, go to the Tapas Bar in Windsor old station, not here.
Quinno - 22 Aug 2005 15:48
Staines trying to be trendy and getting it wrong again. Expect to wait for ages at the bar whilst inarticulate chavs push in front of you and order ridiculous cocktails.
johnnym - 22 Aug 2005 10:11
Ended up in here for the second time on Friday. Quite busy, and found myself paying 3 to get in (why?). Still an unpleasant, characterless, noise bar - full of young drinkers with attitude and fake gold chains.

Why oh why did I go. My mate owes me 3 - and some of my dignity.
Zod - 1 Aug 2005 16:10
Que Pasa? Que charver more like. Daft idea that just doesn't work in Staines.
anonymous - 1 Aug 2005 12:19
everytime I walk past here all I see is staff in black tshirts against a black background.

they think free coffee and a sleazy pole is going to make you enter a bar that resembles a cave?!?

in the great words of Charlotte church 'they need proffesional help'
A30 - 10 Jul 2005 19:06
yeah I agree. I said right at the beginning they should of done some market research.

as a reg of the toad and staines (not really anymore!) I never once saw anyone asking/questionnaires/etc about a preposed new venue.

big mistake.

think the company that nows owns it should do some major changes or sell to someone else!

anonymous - 25 Jun 2005 14:07
Big mistake...should have asked customers what they would like here, instead it's failing..BIG TIME!!!
anonymous - 23 Jun 2005 13:02
Whats with all the trees....!!!!
Don't like this place, no atmosphere, much better when it was the toad!!
anonymous - 3 Jun 2005 11:33
Dear me.

I went in here a few weeks ago on a Saturday. It was nearly empty, but nice to see they've kept the Toads MTV screens and are still playing 10 year old house and Britney Spears whilst shinning lasers and over the top lighting in your eyes.

Dance pole made me laugh - I'm sure if the place picks up it'll be a good place to watch fights break out over some trailer park rotters who rub their crack up it.

This place is shat. AVOID.
Zod - 18 May 2005 16:53
I went on Saturday and have to say I thought it was ten times better than when I went to the toad a few weeks back. I like what they've done with the dance floor and having the dj under the stairs makes more room.
I loved the toad when it first opened, but as I've got older i'd outgrown it.
By the sounds of it the blue has turned into a chavhaven to accomodate the toads ex customers so i think that's one to avoid
anonymous - 13 Apr 2005 14:51
I'm 'one of the old lot' and have not been since it's reopened.

I have not pre judged it in anyway.

Yet neither am I desperate to experience it.

I've heard from many of the regulars it's not exactly worth jumping for joy about. That's disappointing as I remember fondly the excitiment on the Toads opening night.

Will pop down one evening to have a nose though.

anonymous - 4 Apr 2005 22:10
I like Que Pasa yes its similar to the Toad but it is also very different in many ways. There were a large amount of the regulars there on friday wouldent mind seeing a few more of the old lot there mind you! People just need to give it a chance!

Bambi - 4 Apr 2005 15:54
don't really like this place....

went here on saturday & left after one drink, the place has no atmosphere and is dead nowadays.

alot of the regulars are heading to the blue now, seems like it was a bad idea with this revamp!

anonymous - 4 Apr 2005 14:04
Went to QuePasa on Saturday and it was quiet. Saw Seb, but he was not working? Does anybody know where he has gone?
anonymous - 4 Apr 2005 12:38
Give it a chance! It is very different from the Toad in many ways, granted the interior layout is similar but that is pretty much where the similarity ends.

If you havn't been yet, give it a try before you condem it!!
djtreacle - 31 Mar 2005 00:01
I popped in and was dissapointed to notice that it is basically the Toad, with a bit of paint (and a few plants) without all the Toad staff.

Left after 1 drink as the atmosphere was just not there.
anonymous - 29 Mar 2005 12:39
I hear it's not ermmm great at all.

Haven't been myself, but after comments this weekend, sounds like one to miss.

shame.
anonymous - 27 Mar 2005 16:14
Looking forward to seeing the new version of The Toad.

Hope it's not too 'fancy' for Staines. Don't get me wrong, I like novelity value in Lec. Square etc, but I like staines as it's quiet and laid back.

Please don't try to be Rio.
