A great juicer, poncy wine bar it is not. The atmosphere that the Krays once basqued in still resonates from floor to ceiling to this day. Top juicer.

It may have had a colourful past ,but this place is now a featureless bar with no real ale ,and only chemical nitro fizz to sup.Vicareous entertainment is laid on,but atmosphere is sadly lacking. With this review I have now clocked up my first century,is that polite applause I can hear from around the boundary rope ?

First up, the comment below was a joke and should in no way be taken seriously. Next, can I just say what a nice little place the Grave Maurice is. It's rid itself of all the trappings of Q Bar and is now a light airy bar with comfortable seating and a heated outdoor smoking area. Entertainment is varied, for starters there's a pool table, karaoke (Thurs) and pub quiz bingo (Weds), plus various DJ nights. Good value for both food and drink. Guaranteed friendly, welcoming staff - exactly what you want from a local or for a random visit. No doubt people will hark back to the days when this was a dark and dingy nefarious boozer, but give me the current set-up any day. Top notch.

Have seen more naked men in this bar than I have at any other time in my life. Singing naked men. In bins. Good gay venue for "particular" guys with a penchant for the larger man.

Loved the old pub,up till a couple of years ago it was still rough as.....-not that I ever went in here after the Nags Head...Now its a Q-can't see anyone queuing for this one..

one of the krays old pubs - good juicer

if you liked it or loathed it, you had to admit that the 'old ' GM was a true, unpretentious East End boozer. I really don't know what to make of this place, now. Haven't felt like this since the truly magnificent Lord Rodney's Head got turned into the utterly foul Funkee Munkee (or whatever the hell it was).

Q Bar my arse; IT'S THE GRAVE MAURICE, Doesn't matter how you dress it up, If it's wine you want, Go to sainsbury's, sit at home watching jerry springer and get thoroughly pissed, But dont make comments about pubs you know nothing about! The G.M. was probably one of the busiest pubs in that area, And I'm talking standing on tables dancing to the blues brothers (original) Because you couldn't see the floor through people, Atmospherically, It was the nuts, Boy did you yups and chavs miss out.

I hated this place. I prefered it when it was a traditional pub, even if the decor left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, this has now been upraded to a trendy wine bar type establishment, much in keeping with today's fashion.

I like true pubs, and this is definately not one of them.

Great night out at the Q Bar! Very trendy and a great crowd. As for the Portuguese wine the best I have had - great value!!! A must go.

now called the Q Bar, new owners have ripped out anything decent from the run down Maurice. Got to say though that the place is fairly unique - have a look for yourself.

Excellent pub for Monopoly Pub crawls, just 50 yards from the tube, and not a bad pub either.
