Red Castle Inn, Harmer Hillback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Not sure if this pub is still for sale. But it was open on Saturday and was also fairly busy with a predominantly crowd. Hobsons Best & Champion Mild, Hardy & Hansons LBW & Sharps Doom Bar were the beers. The interior is fairly basic, but fit for purpose. A family had arrived to dine just before we left. Couldn't see anybody else sampling food. The landlord seemed friendly. Worth a try if you're passing nearby.

For sale at 375K.

Food rather basic/dated/simple - looks like they are trying to compete with price offers at the other pub in the village (a chain) but the quality/presentation isn't the same - the specials can look and taste like frozen ready meals . Beer a little disappointing too for a free house. Lots of potential but possibly needs some investment/new ideas.

I came to Shropshire to work and found the Red Castle at night whilst looking for accomodation. I ended staying there for the best part of three - four months.
The accomodation was great and food superb. Sammy & Viv made me feel like one of the Family.
I can't reccoment it high enough
