Recommended as a must visit pub. Easy to find at night, as there is a thin light in the pavement that stretches for yards - right to the front door.

Irish music on and a large amount of tourists soaking up a traditional Irish pub experience. Myself, included.

Stuck to Guinness. As did everyone else.

Great vibrant atmosphere and character(s). Food (Irish Stew) and ale sensibly priced. Guinness smooth and rich and Smithwick's ales also on tap - very good.

It might seem a bit rough and ready, but at least there's a friendly welcome and they have small bottles of eminently quaffable wine for the ladies. ;o)

Would have returned for the advertised and locally recommended evening live music, but had too much else to try in our short time in Belfast. Maybe next time.

Jumped in a cab with my brother from Robinsons and asked the driver to take us somewhere good. Ended up here, but only found out its name two days later after wondering around on final day.

Like Nokegthanks says it is a bit rough around the edges but these are usually the best ones. Was that bladdered by now, that when leaving I couldn't remember the name of my hotel when getting a cab back.

Lovely old fashioned boozer, Belfast has a fair few but this is the real deal. Somewhat rustic and a bit shabby, this only adds to the charm.

Best pint of Guinness I have had so far in Belfast, can't be bad!

Nice wee old fashioned authentic Irish boozer. It has its own old boy character who is 86 who collects the empties which adds to its charm. This is well worth a visit and what Irish pubs are meant to be like.

A Belfast institution for sure. Aged but well worth a visit! Great selection of lagers, fine Irish stew and good music. Locals were very amiable. Was a nice place to relax have 6 pints and discuss Belfast. Highly recommended!

Came across Kelly's Cellar after it being recommended by the bus tour guide. With it being a Saturday night it was busy but the live music was great and the regulars were brilliant, made us feel welcome and will definitley be returning at some point in the future. Just watch out for the sloping floor, nearly lost my drink off the table a few times!

A real institution. A wonderfully atmospheric old place, although there is a more run-of-the-mill part upstairs. I have been coming here, off and on for years, after my first illicit drink. While not actually being under ground, it has a sort of louche, subterranean dive bar feel to it. Great beer, lovingly served and looked after. Genuine Irish Stew at a keen price. The decor is appropriate, although it could do with a slight updating. Motley clientele. When I was there in May, there was one silent bloke drinking alone in the corner, staring at one beer for an hour, two youing ladies who seemed to be translating poetry into Gaelic over pints of lager, and a bloke at the bar who kept talking and singing (quite well) to himself. Then the manadatory Canadian tourist popped in........
