I have one thing to say about this place. Why does it even get mentioned on this web site.

Large lively football-orientated pub.Several large screens make this a good place to watch sports events, although the beer is not the best in the area. The pool is no longer free.Caters towards a younger crowd and fills up with large groups coparatively later in the evening.

well this was the 1st bar/pub on our crawl and i must say it was the worst....the beer was average.. the general up keep of the place was very poor... looked like it needed a good clean... as for the toilets well i would rarther of pissed in the corner as the smell from the toilets made me feel sick....

I used to frequent this place from 1999 to 2002. The comments below sum up my views. Good laidback studenty atmosphere, a bit rough around the edges, free pool, free duke box, buckets of bottles of beers, lock-in's a unique venue and I've been to a lot of places in my time.

Kelseys is a dive but I love it. Cheap booze, free pool, sky sports, open till 1 these days- what more could a man want from a pub? The owner's a bit of a miserable bastard though...

I love this place. Full of students so really relaxed atmosphere. Good drum and bass played. You really start to see the regulars in ths pub after a while. Fairly cheap and good for pool.

Great pub, particularly liked the free pool. It's going to be really good once they finish fixing it up outside and in. recommend it 9/10.

After building up initial courage to enter, (looks scary from outside as covered in scaffolding, is soon to look going good though, i believe?) Supprised with inside and good beer prices! Has 3 floors + 3 bars, 4 big screens, many telly's - great for football and sport. Club style venue downstairs plays various music. People there very freindly- mainly students, had no hassle at all in the 6 years I've been going there. Try the stimulator and Thursdays pints £1.30 + always 7 pool tables (5 free)!
Can't go wrong!
Raiting 8.5/10

From the outsid e this pub looks like a real hole. Once inside it isnt actually that bad and there is a large screen for sports events etc. The music is at a reasonable level and there are several pool tables for use. Not the most attractive of pubs but worth going to.
