NYE - that was meant to read 'lack of choice' rather than lack of beer - at least they had some on.

We went along on New Year's Eve - it was pleasant enough, no rowdy prats but more noticeably a distinct lack of beer on tap. I guess the icy roads had put paid to deliveries but it was disappointing nonetheless.
I've been here three times now and I'm not totally convinced, but compared to the frankly dire choices in Haslemere/Shottermill/Hindhead, going here is a reasonable option.

One of my favourite pubs in the area. Very friendly staff, great prices and really good food. They usually have Doombar or Landlord as well.

quick detour here for a swift sharpener resulted in a rather splendid pint of pride, another of a well-served fosters and a pleasant half hour's visit to a lovely country pub. Food looked and smelled great, menu prices seemed very reasonable and the staff polite and swift. Will be returning here again very soon.

Popped in for a pint and a sandwich, both of which were very pleasant. On tap were Timothy Taylors Landlord, Doombar, Courage best and London Pride. Was pleasantly surprised at the price of a pint - 2.60! Only critisim was that it would have been nice if the service came with bit more of a smile. Would be happy to go back though.

Great pub, good ale and food. Proper country pub, but not stuck too far out in the country. Would head back if I was ever in that region again. Mind the steps out of the gents though.

Very nice locals pub. Home cooking at reasonable price. Selection of ales at around 2.80/pint. Big car park. Unusual pub layout on two levels - from pictures on wall its been there many years so maybe result of an extension. Worth a visit for a drink and bite to eat.

A really good pub. Good pint of Pride, a friendly landlord, and excellent food (homecooked and big portions). I cant fault this pub.

The food really was exquisite, with very friendly staff, a very good garden outside for the children, complete with animals and an adventure playground. Definitely a place i would recommend.
