How rude? Yes this has changed hands and what an improvement! Yes there are some odd locals who use it - what local pub doesn't have its' characters. It could do with a refurb but other than that this is a pub where I now feel safe to have a drink and an evening out. The landlord is great as is his wife and make old friends and new feel welcome. They are open to suggestions for improvement and new ideas. I suggest if previous commenters doesn't like the place then dont bother coming back. There are plenty of bland,get a life places a bus ride away that you can use. Give me a pub with character any day!

Nonsense. I went here the other day, firstly, one of the locals (and a real piss head) mick mack short changed me then said he didnt when it was clear he did, then the landlady came out and had a gobby pop at me saying I was lieing! This pub may have changed hands but I certainly would not reccomend it to anyone outside of the cesspit known as Sheerwater. For a start, there is this gobby lass that goes in there and her entire vocabulary is based around the f word. In my eyes there are only two good people here. the landlord and two regulars. Other inmates to watch out for are.. The arsonist (a strange guy who claims he is an arsonist, not the best thing to be shouting out!) The gangsta - A young bloke who claims to have taken all drugs under the sun etc etc (sel proclaimed gangsta) Pete the feet and the witch - an odd couple, "the feet" as he is known is a lowly skinny and tall guy who sounds like a camp Keith richards and is a metler and his sidekick, she looks like a little with with a basball cap on!) One eyed willy - The scottish guy with what looks like a glass eye, nice as pie when sober but incedibly rude and an idiot when drunk) There are many other weirdo's here but dont take my word for it, visit this whole before it gets turned into flats! (Now that would be awesome!)

I think that last comment sums this pub up - if you don't like it you will get a smack! Charming, well put me in line for one cos this is definiately not my type of boozer, too old for fighting!

This pub is well wicked boss, full of top notch geezers any 1 got a problem with it deserves a smack, word up massive the great scum!

this being the only pub in sheerwater means its
full of chavs withb attitude if you dont know anyone inside then dont bother beers well kept and the staff are friendly enough its just the punters a previous landlord booted the scallies out and it improved for a while but he sold up and now THEY'RE
