A decent pint of Old Speckled Hen to be had here. Thai food seems to be the order of the day, but there is your traditional English food available as well.

Been here a few times and the Thai food is always very good. Pretty good value for Surrey, especially the three courses for a tenner deal. They do basic pub grub too which is also keenly priced.
What seemed new on my latest visit was a very good selection of beers. There's a pleasant interior and a nice little garden. Service was pretty good though I guess they could smile a bit more.

I came here with my local walking group yesterday lunchtime on Sunday. Wow what a find !! There must have been at least 35 of us and well over the number that I'm sure our walks leader had reserved the table for. Nothing was too much trouble. The girls who served us were very efficient and the food was served quickly. I have to say this is the best Thai food I have ever had in the UK. I had the duck with pineapple and coconut rice which was absolutely mouth watering and I shall be returning soon. I understand the chef is Thai. Say no more ! I was initially instructed to eat in the other pub The Woolpack as our small group of 12 ended up being the last to arrive and as we were 50 in total we did not want to overwhelm the The Golden Fleece. I lasted 2 minutes in The Woolpack as I felt we were not greeted with a welcome at all. (See my comments under The Woolpack) I got up and left as I begrudge giving my custom to a pub that does not deserve it. I was welcomed at The Golden Fleece and how lucky i was to be able to have lunch there with the rest of my companions.

We have been here on and off for 4 years or so. Food is very good, and service usually matches. We were in last Saturday evening, and the service was very poor. Delays in food, food being delivered separately, drinks orders getting lost.
Hopefully "normal" service will be resumed soon, as we like it there.
But, �3.70 forBudweiser?!

Can confirm food is still good, probably the best Thai food I have had in UK. Service very quick. Remember to ask for 'Thai style' not 'English style' Thai food.

Good pub - plenty of room for drinkers and diners. A very "local" pub but friendly and the Thai food is reasonably priced and excellent. Landlord seems to be in a permanent state of inebriation!

I love this pub! Been coming here for years for outstanding Thai food and fantastic real ales.
Highly recommend it on both fronts :-)

Probably the most 'local' pub in Elstead, and serves decent Thai food at reasonable (for Surrey) prices.
