Absolutely the worst meal I have ever ever eaten! Gordon Ramsay would have a field day on kitchen nightmares...

Go here a fair bit to eat during the week. Nice atmosphere. Food is definately good value for money...very big portions. Service has always been good and the white wine is always super chilled....lovely.

Not bad - but also not the place for a couple of "unattached girlies" - or wives on the pull!

All these adverse comments refer to the wine bar {not pub] being too busy. Surely it must be a popular place if so many people go there!! Comments made are probably from real ale drinkers who prefer to sit in a comfy chair smoking their pipe next to a roaring fire. Strange also that the restaurant is always fully booked at weekends!

Didn't really like this pub, full of "up themselves" people. Far too cramped and you can't stand outside, you have to be seated due to some random licensing law. Although if you know the bouncers then you can stand to your heart's content!
Never eaten there but I wouldnt bother as the drinking experience wasn't up to much.

This pub is too small and too busy. No point in going here as you'll struggle to get a drink (lager, no ale), if you do they'll be no where to stand/sit, and you definitely won't be able to hear a word anyone is saying to you.

No real ale. I was charged £3.00 for a pint of lager on a recent visit. Usual array of good looking girls behind the bar, clientele consists of suits, a lot of groups of women (many older and perma-tanned nouveau riche) and scrubbed up builders on the pull.
Food is good but expensive. In the 80's this bar would have been full of the jazz-funk crowd. I think you get the picture.

This bar has two entrances, one is situated at the side by a pretty alleyway and the second is located at the front opposite the central car park. I suggest you enter via the side door and squeeze by the punters inside and make your way immediatley to the front door. Trust me, you wouldn't want to spend a moments longer in there.

I dont share all the bad comments on this pub. The beer is good, I enjoyed a good few London prides last time i went. Some good music, quite loud but I was able to justabout here people speak. A little overcrowed at night. A bit too small. Quite a young crowd go here, but mostly friendly and east going

although I agree with all the comments about this pub, as a chef think that anonymous (18 jan 2005) might be being a little nieve, a jacket potato takes an hour and a half to cook properly so how do you think that a pub can do it in less than 30 mins, get real.

If you enjoy standing next to a suit with sweaty armpits all night while looking at middle age mutton without a drink coz you can't get one from the miserable barstaff - recommended.
|
going to borelli's is like going to a party where if your not in 'the in crowd' then you get looked down on. Pretentious is a word i would use - although if you want to pull a 40 year old divorced housewife it would highly recommend it

Full of geezers in lime green shirts with massive buckles on their shoes....oh dear.
|
great for those times when all you wanna do is put on some white socks, a pair of loafers and head on out for a night stuck in 1986. the words ``spandau'' and ``ballet'' spring to mind.
