The downstairs "jazz bar" was closed when we visited so we had to make do with the upstairs café.

To be honest the beer was awful, flat with no taste.

Just had one then left, not our cup of tea at all.

3/10

Goodbody's location makes it an ideal bar for both starting and finishing a great night out. The drinks prices are great and served with a smile - which always makes them taste better :) The friendly doormen secure a trouble free and relaxing night.

I've found myself many nights settling upstairs with a fine cooked breakfast and hot mug of tea, laughing a joking along with the friendly staff.

I wouldn't think twice recommending both Goodbody's bar and cafe to friends. And we alway's seem to end there anyway.

Most recently Goodbody's have begun advertising their bakery, here's hoping them success and I'll sure be dropping by for a steaming hot pasty. Thanks guys!

Went here last night for the second time... my friend asked for tap water and he said they dont serve it! Shocking, wont be returning obnoctious bloke behind the counter. Dissapointing!

I visited this establishment on st.patricks day 2007 whilst visiting plymouth for the weekend. Most enjoyable! The decor of assorted England paraphernalia (by the way I was unable to say this word after 6 pints of guiness) made me feel like I was on holiday abroad in an english bar. I consumed a very pleasant chicken salad which was excellent value.

Brilliant steak breakfasts, ideal for a late night out on the town. Fantastic place, bouncers are nobheads though.

dark, sticky, twisted, headwarping, stodge, flags, minimum wage waitresses (if they are lucky), weed and dark again... but I like it

The best place on mutley without a doubt! if u haven't been there, GO! Has a late leicence, 24hr cafe, pleasant staff, awesome look, hunky manager, great beer, open mic night on mondays, other live music and lots more. other bars on mutley just dont have the edge in comparison, always a fun place to be! This place has just got better and better in the past few months. Always great music being played.

This place is cool, friendly atmosphere. Perfect if your hungry as there is also a 24hr cafe upstairs!! Altough its a jazz bar the staff will give in to popular demand and always put the customer first. Good beer and great selection of cocktails, Top notch!! P.S The manager there is fit!

the bar staff here are fantastic, i found them to be very helpful and serving times are as short as is possible. jazz music not always played, but what is on does cater to whoever is in the bar... requests for music styles are usually met straight away, which creates a decent pub atmosphere. never much trouble which is helped by a combination of decent doormen and polite but rule abiding bar staff... altogether a good bar, which is benefited by the fact it has a late license. not the best on mutley, but when it isnt heaving, a pleasant place to drink...

Excellent fry up, but questionable Jazz status.

its got a jazz bar image without much jazz - brilliant concept !! never any trouble and the beer is a lot better.they even freeze the glasses !! its got a lot better and the 24hr cafe is just fully of 'totty' thats left their drunken men in a club downtown !! the food is great, daytime and nitetime !!! i luv it !!

Used to be better about 6 years ago. The current sign that says 'Goodbodys Jazz Bar' is not to be trusted. You're more likely to be listening to looped compilation CDs, usually 'Now! 456' while watching a music video for a completely different, but equally soulless tune. Drink only what comes out of a bottle or you will feel it the next day. The only reason I ever go there to be honest is because there's nowhere better on Mutley Plain open til 2. Goodbody's is basically the best of a lousy bunch. The cafe is alright too.

See below. Great idea, if a little gimmicky. Students love it not surprisingly. I have found the beer to be of a consistently poor standard mind. The ultr-violet lighting is somewhat off putting too. Maybe I've just grown out of this place. Architecturely though, it's a diamond.
Good for: Students

Not just a pub, has an attatched cafe open 24 hours, does a fantastic fry up, good atmosphere generally, not far away from anywhere, late licence; bar till 2am
