This pub has been closed to make way for the Birmingham airport runway extension.
Such a shame another pub has bitten the dust. I used to use it regularly when I was working at the airport for a quick pint after work.It wasn't the best pub I'd ever been in as the service was slow and the interior was a little run down and neglected.
With all that said I'm sorry to see the place go.

4 of us went to The Clock this afternoon for a meal. My daughter and 2 grand daughters one of who was 18 today and myself. Staff was very, very thin on the ground and after ordering we were left waiting a long time for our starters only to be told at the eleventh hour that one was not available. The main course was acceptable but should have been hotter. Dessert was a farce. My daughter ordered hers and again after some time she was told it was not available. Most of the desserts are a type of cake or tart and she did not want anything else so elected to pass. When the 3 of us received ours my grand daughter received the dessert that my daughter had ordered and we were told there had been a mistake and it was another dessert that was off the menu! My other grand daughter began eating her dessert and found a piece of plastic in it which entirely put her off and this was returned. In the meantime I had to take a drink back to the bar because of a dirty glass. The one member of staff working completely by passed me while I was waiting to order our desserts to serve people in the bar who had not been waiting as long as I had. The toilets were freezing cold with no hot water and a hand dryer that didn't work and the middle cubical had the toilet handle displayed on the box covering the cistern so it could not be flushed. No attempt had been made to clear the ice/snow from the front entrance and it was treacherous underfoot. On the up side we were credited for food not availble and also food/drink returned with no quibbles. Used to be a regular user of the Clock but I dont think they will be getting my custom again.

Visited the Clock for the first time since the early 90,s.Good ale pub and basic food then.Staff were a little thin on the ground ,considering the place was full. The food when we got it was plentiful, but just run of the mill frozen Fayre.Whilst i were there i did notice that the clientel were not exactly helping themselves,i.e when ordering drinks/or food, they seemed to want complicated concoctions/or differ from the printed menu.and in two cases i noted, tried to pay for a couple of drinks with credit cards. On the whole having read the previous comments i would say, people in glass houses ?.Final note would be to say that i can get far better fayre, down south and 2.00p on average cheaper.

On Thursday evening 12 July about 7pm I rang and enquired about a family meal this Sunday Lunch for 12 inc 3 children to see if i could reserve. I was told no i cannot reserve i should just turn up and to quote 'if the waiting list is long i can either wait or sod off' i decided to do the latter and ended the call.

The pub's atmosphere was awful and the staff were really rude to the point of sarcasm. I hated the place and went somewhere else for food. Do not go here!

We visited this pub Monday 7th May.The staff were very unfriendly and it was not a welcoming atmosphere.
We did not finish our drinks and went to eat somewhere else.
