Now called the Ebb and Flow, and is paraded as a cafe bar. Smart, comfortable with two well kept Brakespeare (spelling?) beers on offer. Such is the ambience sipping wine or contemporary coffee stylings seem more appropriate than chugging back pints. As you might expect it's menu is emphasised more than the beer. Not bad for a non trad pub, but its appeal is limited. Quiet, respectable but only earns a 6/10.

Decent enough town centre pub, spacious outside area and small function room.

One cask ale being served - reasonable pint of Hobgoblin, plus Marston's Smooth.

Average sort of venue as far as I`m concerned, but that`s not such a bad thing. Beer was ok, people was ok, clean, not too pricey e.t.c. Not quite my cup of Tetley music wise though...bit 18-50 Ibiza or Megamuff....all together now....

Very decent pub, especially the outdoor area out front. Mostly office people having a pint after work.

Stunnertier1 has obviously never been to Mayfair, and probably hasnt even left the West Midlands.

Anonymous poster below him was spot on.

This isnt a bad boozer that is getting more chain-ey as time goes on.

Garden is good for the summer and the largerly grown up clientele is unusual.

Hogs Head is ok too, Solihull has one of the least rubbish Wetherspoons I've been to and Casa is alright, otherwise the only thing I'd reccomend about Solihull is the 37 that takes you to Brum.

Went to The Coach House on Sat 04th Nov 06 and had a lovely time. It was my first visit to the pub and I found it to be a really nice friendly place. The bar staff were very nice and efficient. There was a good mixture of music by the resident DJ and a good atmosphere, that on occasions can be lacking in Solihull town centre. The big plus was the group of rugby players out for the night, it would be interesting to know which club they play for, purley for aesthetic reasons of course, what a lovely bunch of guys especially Max who made my night!! Great place will return.

I dont know what that other comment is all about because solihull town centre is now the mayfair of brum.

Best of a bad lot in Solihull centre. Garden for the summer and largely 18+ clientele is about as good as it gets in this culturally bereft dive of a town centre.
