Not been in for a couple of years, but took the plunge and bought a ticket for new year eve and was great. The dj was much better than last time and i got served within ten minutes of walkin throught the door! and the new cocktails get you on your way pretty quickly!!

Not been in for a good couple of years, but got a ticket for new years eve anyway. Its so much better since they got rid of all the old pictures, much more classy now, and i got served quickly enough, plus you can get cocktails in teapots... yes... drink straight out of a teapot!!

Went in Chicago Rock last night and had the worst pint of beer i`ve ever had the misfortune to taste. Flat as a pancake and very poor.
Not sure where this myth about waiting hours to get served came from though, I got served twice no bother and it was packed.

i have used chicago rock inmacclesfield since it's opening, but recently the level of service has gone rapidly downhill.it is so difficult to get served most of the time when i go in the place that time and time again i see dozens of people leave and go elsewhere because they tire of waiting to be served and,i feel, this is due to the total lack of commitment to the needs of customers by the majority of staff.whilst in the macclesfield bar on sunday 17th april i watched two ladies wait ten minutes at the bar while the one girl behind the bar was elsewhere, yet there were several staff members on the premises sat having a cozy chat.eventually the two ladies approached the bar staff to find someone to serve them.in my opinion this was unacceptable and the sitution needs to be addressed.

A good spot if you are out to pick up one of the towns many single teenage mothers! Nah, only kidding....I should be so lucky!! Only been three times, fights were going on on all 3 occasions so I just walk on past now.Im sure the prices kept going up as well....unless the staff are on the rob!!

Can't quite put my finger on what is wrong with this place, maybe its the bad layout or the fact that they must only have one cd which they seem to continually play every friday and saturday. My advice sack the DJ. Ive visited other Chicago Rocks and had a great night but the Macclesfield CR just doesnt have any atmosphere!!!!

It's kind of OK I guess, but only cos there aren't many optoins. Don't drink the draught beer, it gives you shocking guts, still to the bottles.

I've come and gone from Macc for the last 8 years and noticed the places where people end up at the end of the night have steadily got fancier since the mid-late 90s. there's slightly more choice nowadays and significantly less trouble. There's also more people go out in Macc than there used to be, but still not enough. Chicago Rock, like all other places to end a night in Macc, is still full of too many people that go there every week, all bored of their familiar surroundings and which makes for a crap atmosphere. This will always be a problem in Macc and clubs will always be shit. Pubs and bars where we can make our own atmosphere are our only hope (ever notice how nights start out ok duiring the pub crawl and go down hill when we hit the clubs? this is why). Bring on 24 hr licensing!
