Recently repainted and cleaned up. Decent enough boozer during the day. Landlord is a friendly sort, with nibbles on the bar on Sundays. No real beer but it really caters to the working class locals, so lager is the tipple of choice. There are a lot worse pubs in the area. Their karaoke night is worth a laugh as some of the regulars could shatter Tupperware with their 'singing'. Bring ear plugs and try not to laugh too hard.

I always had this place down as the worst of the two tigers head pubs. Seems this one has outlasted the other. Another one of those bizarre things in life then.
Like Andy's comment about it being a "Ferrier Estate Social Club" Funny as f$$k!

One night a friend and I wanted a late night drink, but were feeling so lethargic about it we went to the most local place knew - The New Tiger's Head. To our horror: Not only did the DJ played Saturday Night by Whigfield (bad enough on its own), but the entire clientelle got up did some synchonised line dance - live a chav version of Michael Jackson's Thriller video....and this was in 2005! (Not that it would be acceptable in any year, but even so...)
Like a Ferrier Estate Social Club. Avoid.

Terrible place bad atmosphere and beer served warm, the back of the pub seems to be opened on friday nights for (plastic gangsters ononymous)meetings.

Oddly, this is actually quite a bit younger than the New Tiger's Head - some dispute dating back years. I once saw Ned's Atomic Dustbin play here.

I go in here sometimes to play pool. Its not as expensive as some pubs but I prefer BIKECLUB on fridays at the wetherspoons over the road.

Older than the New Tiger's Head I presume. Got to go after being turned away on New Year's Eve for the 3 person private party.
