Small but nicely formed traditional pub in the West End of Glasgow.
Two real ales on. One was very cloudy - meant to be like that was how my question was responded to. 2nd one was in good condition but too hoppy for my liking.
Nice collection of whiskies.
Pleasant experience.

Being fairly convenient to the SECC, we stopped in late last year before the triumphant gig from the Who. A bit on the crowded side esp. with punters getting lubed up before the show but pleasant with friend staff. Although more of a whisky bar, I had an excellent pint of McEwan's Red. Actually several pints of McEwan's red, thanks to friends and friends of friends. Glasgow's a great, welcoming city and this is an excellent pub well worth a visit.

Enjoyed our quick visit to this one-room bar. Friendly mixture of drinkers and nicely-kept beer.

I nice pub: lively but so noisy, that the youngish crowd completely drowned out the acoustic musicians trying to play traditional folk music.
It's not the same as shouting over the nowadays endemic recorded music, guys.

Had a good pint of Strathaven Winter Glow. There is also a breathtaking range of Malt Whiskys available.

Had a nice pint of Tryst Amarillo here yesterday before the heavens opened. A slightly odd, dark place with a very high ceiling. There always seem to be a few dogs in here.

Trendy bar, full of young professionals, students etc, this old guy felt most out of place. Ales were on offer but no service was forthcoming, i left!

Having walked some way from the main centre to get here I thought that this would be the "hidden gem" of the 3 whisky bars I visited. But it turned out to be the most trendy and with the least real ales on offer. Bolted down a Deuchars and called it a night. Might have seen it differently if I was into whisky !!

Great bar. The Whisky selection is quite something, though I've yet to even touch the surface. The decor's lovely, complete with open fireplace and always something on the wall to start a conversation about! It's a tight little place so don't expect a seat and certainly don't go with a large crowd.

The Ben Nevis is a fantastic pub. It has an amazing selection of whisky for the beginner and afficianado. the beer selection is good too. The atmosphere is pleasant and is often spiced up by impromptue fiddle sessions. The pub also has the finest Land lady in the business. She is an excellent exponent of her art. A wonderful personality. Get along to the Ben. Seats are at a premium.

This bar is excellent . It has the best selection of whiskies I've ever seen. It's decor is unusual if not unique. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.
