Used to work there from 1990 to 1994 and ave got to say its definitely one of the best pubs in the area.worth a visit

Probably the best pub in this area. Really nice inside
and staff are friendly.
Drinks are cheap and I would reccomend a visit.
Very close to Wandstead flats too.
Avoid the Forest Glen pub down the road and spend your money in the Holy Tree.

Definitely worth visiting this pub if your in or around the forest gate area. Friendly staff and locals, and most of all the drinks are very cheap.
Even has a dining area and a bear garden with great views over Wanstead park..

GLAD TO SEE THE PUB STILL DOING WELL. USED TO WORK THERE 1990. BARRY DENNIS WAS MANAGER. WAS REALLY GOOD BACK THEN TOO.

Not bad for the area. Nice conservatory bit and a lawn to sit around on.
