This isn't a pub anymore, it's a "Cookhouse and Wine-Shop" called "d'Arry's"

This pub no longer exists as the cambridge Arms. It has recently been turned into a posh-looking restaurant called d'Ary's, owned by the d'Arenburg wine co and serving their wines. I haven't been in there yet, but have heard good things said about it.

Don't plan a visit for a while yet though, as the place suffered a fire a month or two ago and is still closed. Not sure when they plan to re-open.

This pub has changed its name so many times in the past that I have lost count.

Green King should have left it as the Cambridge Arms in the first place as it was a nice pub with great food. But now it will never be quite the same again.

I went in here just recently for the first time in ages (used to hang out here all the time when 16-17, nearly 20 years ago - it used to be that kind of place)

After about 3 failed refits it has now reverted to the Cambridge Arms and is trying to get back to being a traditional pub. It's almost there but has lost the atmosphere of old, mainly because said refits destroyed the character of the building that used to exist (like the old Scales brewery in the back bar and the separate front bar), which has made it less attractive to a mixed clientele. These days they seem to be aiming for 20-25 students, which is OK I suppose but it's not what it was. A bit anonymous which is a shame

Apart from the signs on the front windows of this pub i can see no difference in the quality of this pub. Seemed to lack atmosphere,a decent pint and and the food was nothing special. If i was to find myself in this part of town again may i suggest either the King Street Run or The Champion On The Thames. Both with much more class and originality.

It has changed alot in the past 4 or 5 months since the new managment took over, They are a friendly gay couple and are always about chatting to the customers.
The new menu is great with lots of home cooked food and really big portions. It now has an atmosphere with the lights turned down and the juke box on the go with music my friends and i chose. Also a really good pint trust me i had a few !!!

this pub was awful 4 months ago - not somewhere i would go - but now it is under new management: the atmosphere has completely changed. it is now, in my opinion, a great place to drink, and an excellent place to get a good meal (the servings are huge too!)

It may have been the Brewery; but before that it was the Rattle + Hum (why??) and before that it was indeed, the Cambridge Arms! This place veers between reasonable and dodgy.

the cambridge arms changed it's name from the brewery in january this year after a refurbishment.
It has a great atmosphere and really good food they have just introduced a new menu and it really appeals to the student market with deals from 2.95
