please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Have been 3 times now to eat with friends and it has always been top quality food. Yes, its more expensive than other pubs in Corsham that serve food as a sideline but this is restaurant standard food done very well with good service and friendly and professional staff. Beers all seem to be kept well and there is a very good selection of wines and other beverages.

This is hopefully just the start of good things as building work is still ongoing and I believe that more will be open soon. Will defiantly be returning again soon!

Just had a lot, and I mean a lot of money thrown at it.
Beer selection...not bad.
Tried to get a pint of 125 Stout, barman poured it and immediately said that it was off. Turned the label around and that was that. A least he knew his beer and wasn't going to serve anyone else.
Next beer out was very good but can't remember what it was..sorry.
Food expensive but looked and smelled very good although fish was obviously on the menu. Needs to sort out a filtration system.
Well worth a vist.

beautiful pub with lots of function rooms! Very pricey for food! Went there for lunch and the food was very nice but woudl eb a rare treat due to the prices. Staff were very friendly and helpful

I been to the Met for a sunday lunch and have to say that I was truley disapppointed. I had the worst sunday lunch I think I have ever had! It's a shame as its a great building and right in the centre of Corsham. I will not be going back in a hurry.

Stayed 4th Aug 07. Nice room but shower faulty, breakfast poor. The main problem with this hotel is the lack of staff. I can tolerate waiting 10 mins at reception before anybody turned up to check us in but not the lack of any night staff all of whom slept soundly while the guests where kept awake between 2-4am by a drunk Irish guest attempting to get in after being locked out by his wife. No staff where available either at reception or on the telephone. Although an apology was giving the next morning no responsibility for blame was taken. This is unacceptable.

Has undergone an extensive refurbishment and the results are astounding! Excellent food, service and ales. A+

recently redecorated and re-upholstered - all done in plush 1970's style. Recently introduced background muzac - terrible. May appeal to the over 60's with a penchant for blandness. Staff and manager all wear traditional black trousers/skirts and white shirts - very tea shoppe, very naff.

A truly terrible pub.
Once great (many years ago) but now 1970's dated, peeling paint on the windows, tatty, odd cubicle style seating. Food poor, service poor, prices for beer high.
Hotel rooms smell of smoke and are generally gloomy but expensive.
If ever there was a pub in need of a major overhaul and change of management this is it. Be careful when you go as it closes at odd times if there are no patrons.
