please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This place is now a Brewdog establishment. Whilst there are no real ales, there are many keg choices, ranging through the different strengths up to 15.2%. There is also a good selection of bottles, including ciders from the Cotswold Cider Company. The interior is modern, with plenty of drinking space. Food is also served. Was busy early on Saturday evening.

now called the Vandella and serving London Pride on keg during our visit recently. didn't have a pub feeling about the place, had a kind of wine bar type of feel instead. easily the poorest of the recent Fullers pubs i've been in.

Ugly looking building, but larger inside than it would appear from the front. Range of furniture ranging from breakfast bars, through mid-height marble-topped tables to low sofas. Subdued lighting. Live music every Thursday and Sunday. An unbranded Fullers pub with no real ale, so had to make do with a very overpriced pint of keg Honeydew at an eye-watering 3.70. Plenty of pictures of Vespa (geddit?) scooters.

Again had a graet time here. This bar always seems friendly, decided to eat and it was great as usual! Loving Vesbar!

What a great place! This place is a breath of fresh air in Shepherds bush, i came for dinner with friends recently after some post-work cocktails- the staff there were so friendly, chatty and full of life and went out of their way to put some great cocktails together. Compliments to the chef- its my favourite local now and the food is always delicious, with the menu changing often enough to add some fab twists to some key favourites. The manager matt was a gem, really passionate about the place and always gives great banter. I strongly reccomend this place to you, especially for live music on sundays and you will be hooked- keep doing your thing Vesbar!!

Organised an engagement party last Sat - everyone had a brilliant time. The manager Matt could not do enough for us - we had an area out the back which while still attached to the pub was still out of the way enough to feel private. Music was great, Matt had arranged a play list and even put up a few balloons, we even had space to boogie. The future bride and groom got a couple of courtesy drinks, always good. A number of our group said it was a good venue and a few people had been there before and said it had improved.
6 of us turned up early ordered food which came quickly and was well priced for what we got.
Overall we all had a great time.

Not a bad bar at all, and the mojitos are good. The only thing wrong with it for me is that when you're sitting inside looking out, you suddenly notice that although the interior has been fitted out in perfectly acceptable 'trendy bar' style, they haven't got rid of the shopfront windows - they're the same as all the less salubrious shops and cafes further along the road. This shouldn't have bugged me as much as it did, but it made it seem a bit cheap.

it's amazing what a french bar maid can do to someone's opinion of a very average 'bar'!

I have always enjoyed my visits to Vesbar. The cocktails are rather nice as are the sharing platters. For Shepherd's Bush it really isn't that bad and I'd be inclined to say that it is one of the few nice cocktail bars to go to in the area...although, there isn't that much competition!

The staff are always friendly. We are usually waited on by a lovely French waitress who makes us feel like regulars! The prices aren't that bad at all. The strawberry dacquiris are a definite asset, and if you're feeling adventurous the coconut mojitos are really refreshing!

What's more, Thursday nights they have a live DJ playing some good funky house choons which are a definite welcomed alternative to the Walkabout just across the road!!

My Sheps sesh continued in Vesbar. Although not overly impressed, it was still a better option than ONeills, The Green, The Slug and Lettuce or the dire Walkabout.

It was quite quiet and relaxed, although no ale. In a bout of naive optimism, I tried the draught Honeydew; awful. Fullers should be ashamed in turning a once supreme cask ale into syrupy fizzy crap. Such was my disgust, I moved onto Kirin, which is not a bad brew as keg go.

not bad but not good either. nicely arranged inside, trendy seating plan but staff lack good service. fair enough, as long as they can get the drinks you order that's all you should ask for, so when they can manage that I'll post another review.

I quite like this pub (bar) even though it's not the normal type I go for. It can be relaxing and the beer is good (albeit a tad expensive) and it is fitted out well. Not sure who is the manager at the moment but recently it was a female who was very rude when I asked here why the volume of the music was suddenly increased to the level of killing a conversation! Her reply was along the lines of " because I can do it"!

A solid 7 for this place. The staff are relatively efficient and its comfortable. It's a good place to sit back and have a good chinwag and there's plenty to look at outside on the green. Bar is one of those which is way up high, all you midgets out there watch out, cause like me you'll have to draw yourself to your full height just to be seen. Even some table service. I approve.

This place has definitely improved. Good selection of drinks (cold fizzy beer and a delicious passion fruit cocktail that must be sampled), bar staff are always friendly and the food is good value for money. They've also got very efficient air con - essential in the Summer. The one minus point is that the loos are a bit smelly, think they've got problems with the drains!

Love the large sofas, great place to people watch good service and food quite good bars staff efficient always get an ice bucket without asking only fault is there is something wrong with the drains as the toilets really smell

what do you mean 'Due to the unique way this bar is funded'?
Vesbar's owned by Fullers, part of their style bar range which attempts to attract female drinkers with sofas and large windows
anonymous - 16 Jun 2004 13:49
Due to the unique way this bar is funded, this is the only place beside the Green that isn't pikey. Does good pizza and has Leffe on tap. Cute barmaids roam to collect glasses and occasionally fetch your next drinks order. Barman has been arithmetically challenged in the past so check your bill.

as a local in Shepherds Bush funky bar that isn't either spit and sawdust or full of auzzies. Not sure the food is overly priced as what you get is better than the average pub grub.

Just like an 'All Bar One' but without the name... If you just want a plain beer then it does the job. Not very exciting though and dancing is strictly forbidden!

An expensive haven for pretentious plastic chair loving boozers who don't suffer a heart attack when paying 10 for cold nachos and draft Belgian beer. This bar would close down within a week if all those desperate BBC employees stopped rushing down Wood Lane in search of beer every Friday.
Agnes - 13 Oct 2003 16:52
overpriced, wannabe trendy, indifferent staff, leather and wood, etc
andy - 17 Sep 2003 15:58
Fairly decent bar, and the girl with the ass cleavage was a bonus
Dominic - 15 May 2003 00:30
A great pub with a funky atmosphere. Has Kirin beer on draught which I think is great. Food is a little expensive though.
