Top top top pub. this is now my number 1 in the earlsdon area. beer is well priced and well kept, had a great session on Old Empire not long ago, good atmosphere although a few students are getting in now so take a nose peg.

made a return visit saturday night and found a sharp decline had happened. NO bitter or cider.Wine was running out and shelves looked empty.Whats going on?Hope it was a temporary hiccup!

Visited it both before and after the Cov Rugby game on Sat pm.(Very handy for the new Butts stadium) The Burton ale was excellant ,the Pedigree good and Jennings Sneck Lifter was excellant -my friends tell me.Good atmosphere and pleasing suroundings. It also sells meals. Well worth a visit!

A nice pub and quite traditional. There was a beer festival this weekend in a newly opened ex-stable to the rear of the pub. There were parafin lamps and candles providing the lighting and it was a GREAT atmosphere. More are planned so the landlord Wayne was telling me. A great bloke! The pub serves traditional real ale on handpull although the beer festival had twelve beers all gravity dispensed and tasting good. Popular with people of all ages. Try it!
