user reviews of the Falcon, Queens Park

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Used to be full of old Irish guys steadily drinking Guinness and Rastas drinking cans of red stripe bought from the offie across the road. Less interesting than it sounds, but exactly as dodgy. Local council estates were another dependable pool of regulars. Location doesn't do it many favours, little in the way of passing trade so often empty.

No longer intimidating and old fashioned, the modern day Falcon is completely unrecognisable from the pub of old. Now boasting Chesterfield sofas; chandeliers; stencil wall art; multicoloured lighting; and unique clock features (among other improvements), each area of the pub has gained its own distinctive feel. The choice of drinks and snacks available now dwarf what was previously on offer; prices are fair; staff are friendly, and the facilities are much brighter, cleaner and nicer to use. Recommended.

Caberet? Gay scene? Gastropub? Shurely shome mishtake!Occasional bands or DJs. Certainly no noticeable gay presence and the only food is usual bar snacks. Always quiet, which is a shame as its decent enough if you like the spit and sawdust type. Green King and new Polish manager/bar staff

Agreed. The Sunday afternoon cabaret makes this place special.

well well well... who'd have thought it, they've gastroed up the Falcon! imagine my surprise when i popped in yesterday (purely to use the pool tables) and found couples and families seated at tables chomping on organic beef and locally growen garden vegetables! they've got an up and coming "name" chef in, the works! chucked out the pool and fruities, this ain't a half-way house move!!

dunno if crack-flavoured ice-cream was on the menu, it shoulda been
