We visited Buxted Inn today for lunch.
We had a fantastic meal. Our two daughters were also very happy with their choice of chicken breast strips with choice of vegetables. They were given a wide choice from the menu as well.
I had a gorgeous beef roast; the meat was cooked to perfection and plentiful, the potatoes were very tasty and the vegetables fresh. My husband ate a home made burger and hand cut chips and stated that our meal was "the best pub meal he had had in years"
The staff were all very attentive and overall service was excellent.
I cannot fault this pub in any way, and we will definitely return and recommend to our friends.

Great pub. The Harveys Best on handpump was spot on. Excellent food. The breakfast is highly recommended. But you have to pre-book, for breakfast at least.

Friendly, efficient staff, good parking and nearby station. What more could you want?

We have recently spent a most enjoyable evening at The Buxted Inn and can highly recommend it for great service and fantastic food. As we arrived we were warmly welcomed by all the staff and this excellent service continued throughout the evening. Our food was extremely well cooked and well presented and my wife can highly recommend the medley of fish dish, cooked in a delicous sauce which was divine (her words not mine ). As for the comment about the car park well we had no problems parking in the large carpark at the rear so please don't let that comment put you off and go visit Jason and Gary at The Buxted Inn very soon....you won't be disappointed!!

I have eaten twice here in the past few months.
Excellent service, good food with generous portions and very reasonably priced.
I just hope they keep up the standards and keep the prices down.
So many places get above themselves when they become popular. I recommend this pub for a good meal esp Sunday lunch.

Have just enjoyed one of the finest meals my wife and I have had for a long time, cooked and presented very professionally by a very well presented team, the premises nicely arranged, marks out of 10 would have to be 10.
The best part was the bill, it did not justify the quality and service we enjoyed.
Hats off & best wishes to Gary and team.
JA.

I would like to state the anonymous review below is a completely unfair judgment of the Buxted Inn. What goes on at or the around station has nothing to do with the quality of the Buxted Inn which has its own adequately sized and safe car park. I have been going to the Buxted Inn for many years and have never known of a car to be vandalized on the premises. This is a great pub run by friendly staff which serves fantastic food. Put this one on your to do list!

This pub is good and, as it is next to Buxted station, its a handy stop for a decent pint on returning from a days work in London. However the station car park is inadequate which makes it is necessary to park on roads near to the station and the pub. Although safe, and perfectly legal, this activity appears to have upset a section of the locals who are venting their feelings by vandalising visitors cars. So no more Buxted for me, and unfortunately no more Buxted Inn. Id give this one a miss, unless you are on foot.

Excellent food, especially given the very reasonable prices.

Next to rail station has a public bar area to left filled with noisy locals (after England beat Wales) with quieter section to right of the bar with several bench type seats followed by a few steps down to restaurant area. Restaurant has good reputation as was full for both Saturday and Sunday when we arrived at about 6pm. Good pint of Harveys but on a cool evening we found ourselves needing to put fleeces back on after the sun set
