Sticky tables, sickly smelling floor and worst of all the pint of tribute was off. Tribute is not a difficult beer to keep. If they can't get that right then really, what hope is there?

Oirish McThemepub.

Really atmospheric pub off the tourist map between centre and barbican.
Good old "Irish" boozer with good ales interesting decor and efficient bar staff who know what they're doing.
Bands most weekends and we called in both nights during our weekend visit.
It's a bit hardcore and Im sure it gets a little rowdy at times so timid couples and girly girls should beware.
We loved its atmosphere so will return.

Good atmosphere in this pub with live music. Visited on a Thursday night which was obviously student night. Beer not up to much though, the Jail ale and Doombar were very average plenty of Guiness on offer not surprising as it's an Irish bar.

Walked passed on a Thursday night and it was heaving with live music going on - sadly, didn't pop in. Went back the next night, busy with a great atmosphere and music to suit all tastes - the Jail Ale was on and very well kept, though most people were drinking Guinness! Sky Sports News showing discretely in the corner too.Despite being busy there was hardly any waiting for drinks - and the barmaids remembered the order!! Landlord very friendly and welcoming. Returned Saturday morning for the England rugby game and a traditional Irish breakfast and the Jail ale was just as good. Quite happy to recommend this pub to anyone visiting Plymouth - I'll certainly head back there next time I visit.

A special thanks to the Landlord to introducing me to the music of Mad Dog MCrea too - just a pity I didn't go in on the Thursday when they were actually playing live ......

We popped in here for a quick pint before we got the bus home. It was a sunday afternoon so we were really quite suprised that inside everyone was totally off their faces, dancing around, swearing and being loud. We drank up quickly and left. 3/10

Not what it used to be, which is a shame because of its good location between the town centre and the Barbican. Naff beers on tap, and, to my dismay, my last visit coincided with the appearance of a sectarian witless tone-deaf comic/singer/songwriter.

Totally agree with Mischa. Sue, Karen, Krysia, Gemma and co were amazing people and made a great team and produced some of the best nights out I have ever had. Remember the all day St Paddys days? They were crazy! The place is a shambles now. Nobody cares behind the bar they dont even do shamrocks in the Guinness!

Agree with Misha on Sue she was a great lady but disagree with with the rest of what she wrote, Kittys did go down the pan but with the New landlord (who is Irish) it seems to be picking up again. lots of live music good beer and a friendly feel about the place, Go On Misha Give it another go.

Ah Kitty's...what a fabulous pub this used to be in the days of Sue and her Crew. Sadly now she and her crew have gone and the pub has deteriorated at a rapid rate of knots. The pub is tatty and dirty, the staff are useless, the beer, especially the Guinness is vile and the owner/manager...what owner/manager has anyone seen him? There have been two managers since Sue, but neither can compete with the fantastic events and entertainment that Sue organised. She is sadly missed not only in Kittys but in Plymouth in general. Someone find her and bring her back!!

This is an ok pub for the City Centre, not brilliant but not awful either.

This is a good bar with a good atmosphere but used to be much better when it was the Abbey!
