Held an event in this pub and it was fab, reasonably priced hire fees, polite and friendly staff, late licence and most of all my guests all had a great time. I will admit its not somewhere i'd pop into for a quick drink as there doesn't seem to be lots of character for that sort of thing but for venue hire in the area not sure it could be bettered. Thanks Ricks Bar!

initially i booked this because of the extremely reasonable deal of 100 pounds. And if i had 100 guests i got my money back!....All i have to say was it was a great night..i had the best birthday party ever!!. The stereo was pumping all my freinds and family.. and a great service from all the staff. THANKYOU!!!!!!.. i am not an easy to please kind of person. but this pub was perfect. Its large and very comfortable with nicely lit corners. Comfortable sofas and a beautiful bar. There was even a patio area to sit outside. it was a very warm summers evening. so this was a nice touch in the heart of Greenwich. i would recommend to anybody who wishes to have a function.

Over the years, Greenwich has been filling with those lounge bars that serve coffee and clubs that are also restaurants....
but if you want a good traditional English pub and dont want to be two stepping with your pasta. Then ricks bar is for you.

Its clean, Airy and something that I find most important in Greenwich, is that they have a space dedicated for smokers. The outside patio is amazing; seating and a pretty garden.
The staff are what staff should be, open friendly and if you visit more than once will remember your name. .

I recently discovered this little gem on my friends 23rd birthday party. And when I passed by recently, the barmaid still remembered my name! you cant put a price on service like that

Please don't hire this pub,... Yea ok,,,,it only costs 100.00 to hire & if you pull over 100 people to your event you get it back, BUT DON'T DO IT!! This is why.. The pub is in need of a serious serious refurbishment, the toilets are disgusting, the beer is rank & over priced, the sound system {That you are tricked into using} is no loader than your average TV & the quality of it is appalling, your feet stick to the carpet!!,.. This was the worst party I have ever been to,... Not through lack of people, not because the dj was rubbish, the food was great {But that was an out house thing},,, IT WAS RUBBISH BECAUSE OF THE VENUE!!!!!!!!!!...Yes, a very odd place indeed..The worst of the worst, YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually empty this really does feel like a hangover (and a bad one at that) from the 80's.

Only ever went in this place once in all my time in Greenwich, and that was only because a load of us were doing a pub crawl all the way into Greenwich, and it was shit. The one barman seemed amazed to have to deal with customers during daylight hours, there was no one else there, England v Scotlands (6 Nations) was on and it was absolutely empty.

A very very odd place.

possibly the most '80s establishment in the world(in a purely non-ironic, werent the '80s great kind of way)expect to go in there and hear huey lewis and the news playing 24/7, average beer and food

have to be joking. The scariest looking wannabe bar in the area. If 80s style blacked out windows and neon signage are your thing then rush down.
