Stopped for 25mins here and assumed it was a pub car park. Wasn't told anything different at the bar. Have received a £100 parking ticket ( £60 if paid in 14 days ). Am appealing. Disgraceful.

A good refurbishment inside and a bit of work currently happening outside, Marstons Ringwood Best in good nick (who knows where it's brewed, just heard Ringwood has been brewing Thwaites!). Still plenty of signs to inform motorists about the car park.

In regards to previous comment, I received a parking ticket during a visit to the George, so I took my ticket back and the manager kindly called the company and cancelled the charge for me.
On my return I checked out the car park and there is a large amount of signage explaining the car park is pay and display, with a refund of your ticket when making a purchase in the pub. And I was also told that all customers for the pub can input their reg on a screen behind the bar to negate the need to buy a ticket.

The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, and i dont see how a parking charge sent to someone who it seems didn't actually use the pub (since they were picking up a relative) would be a valid reason to slag off such a nice pub online. Perhaps the complainant could have got in touch with the pub politely to see if there was anything they could Do. Which they would have judging by my experience.

I can understand the previous poster's anger. However (as a non-driver, even I'm aware of this) had they let the staff know they had parked they would have been directed to a machine in which they could have entered the car registration number to avoid a fine.

Pleasant pub, handy for bus and train stations, usual range of Marston's ales, can get busy when Poole Town FC and/or speedway and/or something on at The Lighthouse Arts Centre.

Disgusting. Visited on 2nd Nov 2014 with mum to collect a relative from there only to find mum now has a £100 PCN parking charge some bullying cowboys you put in charge called Parking Eye for a visit that by their records was only 12 minutes long!

Never will be going to here again and I would advise all others to in order to protect one self from such fines.

Friendly town centre boozer about 5min walk from Poole Bus and Rail Stations on the huge roundabout at the back of the Dolphin Centre. Good pint of Marstons Pedigree at fair price, also 'Sneck Lifter' and Ringwood Best untried. Food looked ok, various deals etc.

We were in here before and after the Poole v Whitley Bay game. Good pub, friendly locals and good beer. The service was good too. The only bad thing before the game was the England Cricket team!

Food service incredibly slow, meals didn't come out at the same time - first meal came out 10 minutes before the second one and there were side orders missing, then the first two people had finished eating before the third meal arrived. Party of six eventually managed to get all their food, but it wasn't particularly appetising. Seems like a nice enough pub but the service really let it down.

Service appalling. If you can interrupt the barmaid from texting her mates you might get served.

It took so long 3 of us walked.

An obviously busy pub in a pub desert area of the town. Service just about ok but with uncleared tables well after eating time on a Friday. beer just about ok.
There are a lot worse in Poole disappointingly this one could be brilliant if the management put some effort into it.

Has fairly good live music on a Friday night.Big screen for the footie. Not too bad a place and unusually have to disagree with the comment of John Nowell whos usually spot on about pubs in the Bournemouth area
