user reviews of Windmill Inn, Partridge Green

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

The pub is now a freehouse with new owners as Hall & Woodhouse sold it. Lots of work has been going on and there are now Inn rooms upstairs and a larger restaurant with redecorated bar areas and toilets. A busy community pub where your have darts, bar billiards and cards going on in the public bar and light chat and laughter in the saloon bar around the inglenook fire. Sunny garden looking out onto open fields and Harveys beers with a guest ale and an array of draft lagers. Cyclists, riders and walkers all welcome!

Visited recently on a day out. Found it to be a very pleasant little pub with friendly staff and good beer.

Please note: The Windmill, Littleworth and The Windmill Partridge Green are one and the same pub. Littleworth is the more accurate description, being about 1.5 miles from Partridge Green.

Terrible. As per my wife's and mine comments on The Windmill in Littleworth, please don't bother. Read our comments on that entry, as it is, after all, the same pub, obviously attempting to dilute the comments between Littleworth and the same pub name in Partridge Green.

What a fantastic local country pub.
Having recently moved to the village and heard stories about both pubs in the village, i decided to give them both a try and the Windmill did not disappoint.

Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, good homecooked specials, friendly locals. I have not had a bad evening in this pub, always made to feel welcome.

What amazed me was for such a small village, they currently have 3 dart teams, 3 bar billiard teams, a golf society and other events organised by the staff on a regular basis.

It was one of my hardest decisions to move out of city life into a quiet village, but i have to say that the locals and staff at the Windmill, have at least made getting a pint more enjoyable.

Lovely Landlords Son, who we see quite a bit behind the bar. Food is large portions and helped if you live on salt. I LOVE salt so food is good.
So, salty food aside, lovely dogs, expecially the big one) only serves HB shite for Lager Lovers. And if you like sitting beneath farm tools and sharp blades hanging form the ceiling about to drop and decapitate you then you are most in luck.

Great Pub for a beer, cosy in winter with great bar staff and lovely icy cold pints of HB on tap. Ask the barman to make his dog Rooney to do tricks - my kids love it. Food OK, generic menu, nothing fancy but well priced so what do you expect.

A good country pub with friendly chatty locals. 2 small cosy bars with a good range of beers. Food is fresh and home cooked with generous portions, roasts are excellent. Can be very busy at weekends.
