user reviews of Apple Tree, Gerrards Cross

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

At least it now has 2 real ales - Doom Bar & Timothy Taylor. But it's pricey, bar staff seem uninterested and prominent notices about dress code are off-putting.

Right on the button, richardhoward. I never even went beyond the doormat - I had seen enough. Does south Bucks really need more eateries like this ??

Oh what a pity.
Used to be a Beefeater, but still had a reasonable beer selection. Now reborn as a 'Ok-Ya', pseudo upmarket Italian style food joint. Beer, don't bother! Unless you're in the Pimm's set, or even worse, a Lager lover.

The food is well cooked (for a Beefeater pub), the restaurant is completely no-smoking and very little smoke makes its way from the small bar.

More of a restaurant than a pub, it is fairly quiet, often populated with octagenarians.

an old snobs pub, just opposite the young wannabe snob pub called the french horn-basically nouveau riche hell.
