WHAT CAN YOU SAY GOOD PUB ALL ROUND STAFF WERE OUTSTANDING NOT THE SORT OF STAFF YOU FIND IN A WITHERSPOONS WITH NO LIFE IN THEM. MAIN MAN WAS A GENT FRIENDS AND MYSELF WERE SINGING LOUD AND HE EVEN JOINED IN COOL PLACE FOR A PINT!

Nice little pub but not a place to stay all night. Quick and friendly service, beer prices average for town. Shows football games and has live acoustic music at the weekend. Worth stopping by for one or two

There are much nicer pubs a short walk away.

Its alright. Overpriced considering quiet even on a Friday night. Just had the one passing pint. Wanted to play pool but got a dirty look when I put a quid down. Will probably go again bcus at least you get served fast which says a lot for town. 5/10.......

This appears to be a Greene King establishment nowadays, and they had a guest beer when we visited (Ringwood Best, which was fine). Two good meals for 7 quid. Friendly bar staff too.

Had the look of a recently refurbished pub, but it struck me as being rather ordinary. They did have a reasonable selection of beer though so one shouldn't complain too much.

The pub has recently been through a refurbishment. Perhaps you got there before it was finished, Simon. :)

Whilst I would agree with the above comment, I would like to make a point about the state of the pubs interior, it being so outdated, damaged and run down that it inveriably detracts from the atmosphere of the place. I would like to know whether the above customer would agree with my comments.

I like it. Being situated off colmore row, which isnt too popular with the "towny" youth elements, means this place isnt like a lot of other Hogshead pubs and it attracts more of your just finished work office types, who make for a much more relaxed atmosphere. Nice staff too.
