Slug and Lettuces are never really the sort of pub that I frequent but as it goes this doesn't do too bad a job of things. Yes interior is a little clinical but food is decent and they've started selling a decent Japanese lager of which I can't remember the name...ahem!

Now rebranded as the Slug & Lettuce

intresting seating arrangement, pool facilities (not swimming you fool.) usually home to the younger crowd with less money and brain power than would be hoped of a child.
nothing special, great for a chav wedding party, which they probably do.

Bright, brash and loud.

Not your real ale-swilling locals kind of place but worth trying considering the alternative over the square is the appalling Yates's.

Could do worse. Can do better.

The new managment have finally taken ahold of this place. Decor is looking better apart from the garden furniture and the toilet hallways. The clientel have improved imensly, a slight slip through the worldcup but what else can you expect its football. With Epsoms finest House D.J playin both weekend nights the atmosphere is set for a fantastic weekend evening. It is just a shame the venue closes at 11pm.

Nice, new, modern place. Although it is quite small and can get very full and stuffy at the weekends early on before everyone moves onto Chicago's across the road.

Great place to meet if you're a student I think.

Casa is great for a pre evening drink, it has a lonely pool table in the corner for those who aren't happy to sit and watch the world go by. One of the better drinking establishments in Epsom.

A former mishmash of both Epsoms elite and unfortunatly deprived, it looks like this place has finally finding its ground.
Under new managment it is now safe to walk in to the premesis on a tuesday night with out your kevlar stab vest on!
A new attempt at weekend nights has brought D.J's back. These create a fantastic atmosphere with their uplifting house tunes.
Unfortunatly some of the staff should take a leaf out of the D.J's book and stop looking like they're chewing on a wasp. One in particular looked like she'd been slapped round the face by her degenerate boyfriend.
Furniture needs to be looked at as after sittin on one of their chairs for a hour I felt like a baby learning its first steps!
This bar I feel is a great early starter to your weekend nights.

One of the best places to go for that pre Chicagos drink can get a little chav-tastic sometimes though.

seems to have a new manager, new paint & menu would hint at it. done a good job of getting rid of the chavs, a bit quiet now though, although fri / sat nights still one of the best in epsom

Quick question to the manager; why is there outdoor furniture indoors?! It's a good bar to start in followed by Yates & Angelo's when your on the crawl in Epsom.

I think this place is good, being a dj myself i have noticed a quality old skhool dj here on tuesday nights. I think with a little tidying up round the edges he will go places. A little busy here on weekends but full of tottie gagging for cock. All in all a good place without the pikeys.

Pikey central in Epsom. Has no quiz machine, hopeless for watching footie, generally loud, unpleasant and full of tw*ts. But at lunchtimes this is actually quite a nice place to while away an hour with a bite and a pint of Hoegaarden.

its where all the teenage girls from longmead go to get insemitated so they can upgrade from a bedsit to a 3 bed palace on the watersedge. Epsom is such a dump!

Kim - 14 Dec 2003 13:43
Expensive, Slow Service, but full of totty. A local hangout for the dancing school
Dan - 24 Sep 2003 10:54
Classy place to drink and therefore slightly expensive. Worth it though...
