Still a great place due to table service, great atmos etc., but has blotted its copy book on a few recent visits by running out of ale - pretty inexcusable in my book, but probably just suffering a bit from lack of staff combined with its popularity.

Certainly has that feel of a cross between a bar and a pub but more of a bar actually. You may find getting a seat here hard, but you'll get a nice view

Loving it here! After a tough week at work you can sink your fat a*se into a comfy sofa and get your drinks delivered to the table. How cool is that?!
Plus this is the only place where I have ever had the bonding experience that is an entire room singing along to Elton John's 'Daniel' without a hint of self consciousness. Blimey. You just had to be there I guess. ;-)
I don't find it especially expensive, and anyway it's worth it to keep the scum quota at zero. I know I sound 'up myself'. but you know what I mean. Some of the pubs round here are ruined.
The door staff are really nice btw and I'm not generally a fan of door staff - and they're not generally fans of mine either to be honest!
There's a fab atmosphere. Everyone seems keen to mingle and have fun. We usually get chatting with lots of cute boys which is always good.
The only thing that's missing is I wish they had a terrace or something, cos it gets hotter than hell when the place is full.
Go. Just don't get talked into going to Jaxx after - promise? ;-)

Nice atmosphere, very relaxed and friendly, even has table service for beers which is great. Decent music playing at a decent volume, good night out. Fails on the price side of things unfortunately as this is the most expensive pub in Fleet.

Fantastic party pub. Always a good atmosphere, never any trouble. Staff are great fun, always up for a laugh. DJ is superb, and very funny. Comedy nights are a laugh (literally). Live Music is fantastic in the high street and last night's band (The Mushrooms) had it absolutely packed.

People moan about the prices, but for the best pub in town, what's wrong with another 20p a pint!!

Centre of the Universe!!

They call this place the music canteen - went there last thursday and there was a fantastic band playing called Trafficker. The place was rocking and the landlord kept telling them to play quietly (yeah right - a rock band !!) Why did they book them in the first place if they had to be quiet! Propaganda was expensive drinks and disappointing. The band that they didnt want to play was the best I have seen in many years - look out for them and avoid Propaganda LOL.

i got given a ticket to the opening night of properganda, the thing that shocked me the most wasthe prices....they're horrific...i ordered a bowl of calamari (which consisted of four small sticks in a bowl) and i paid 5.45 which quite frankly is disgusting i know they want it to be a classy cocktail bar but theres classy and theres pathetically expensive....since then i have drank in this bar twice

Warm friendly vibe, smiley staff & relaxed punters lounging on the big squishy sofas. *Love* it here.

They sell basically every drink you can think of, and the food is pretty nice for snacky stuff. The DJ on Friday nights plays cheese sing-a-long happy music & pretty much anything you ask for.

Attracts a friendly mainly over-21 crowd, not too dressed-up, not too posey. Everyone seems to chat to everyone else. Plenty of pulling goes on, but you feel like people are more there for a good time than the meat market angle.

My only complaint is that nobody dances until really late and I've usually been dying to since my second cocktail at 8:15.

Met some really great girls here on Friday night. Not chavvy or tense IMVHO. Friendly and chilled is more like it. They serve Hoegaarden, cocktails & shots as well as the usual. Nice crowd.

Can't say I'm sold on this one, started well though have to admit however can have a tense atmosphere with a few undesirables frequenting lately, they seem to be barred/not tolerated from most places except this one. Floor staff seem a bit slow and lack initiative to collect empty glasses after they take their order from you or to wipe tables on busy nights.

Now refurbished & called Propaganda. Seems pretty decent so far - music turned down to an acceptable level, tries to cater to a slightly older (25+) crowd, which I like. Owned by Greene King. Interesting & really varied food menu- haven't tried any food there myself though.

its a bit awful really, amongst my social group easily seen as the "worst" pub in fleet (aside from the prince arthur)

This was the second of the 'new' pubs to open in Fleet, back in 1996, after the Emporium started the ball rolling. I remember thinking it was pretty good the first time I went in there after it opened. It isn't any more- easily the crappiest pub in the town now. Absolutely dead, no atmosphere & no decent beers. Barman the other night didn't seem to think they even served Guinness. They do. Crap compilation CD's playing non stop some nights. Only plus point - very cheap food- at the moment all meals are guaranteed to be under 2. Quiet if you fancy a chat.
