this was a fantastic pub and some lovely irish man even gave me a bottle of wine

Has run out of beer on a number of occasions recently despite being slow to serve! Great for sport on TV and food during the day and at weekends. No real ales though.
|
Good city centre pub with reasonable prices - beer was fine with a reasonable selection

Always busy for some reason and normally full of hen and stag parties. Never changed much for as long as ive drank down the quay. Staff always seem full of happiness when serving. I think i saw one smile about 5 years ago. Bar that i never really bother with. Maybe ok for a quick one but in all canny poor!

The Doormen at this pub are a complete and utter waste of space. They stopped me and my friends from going in and I was left with bruises to my arm. No one would do anything to have then arrested. It spoilt an otherwise good night in town. Dont go there it is crap.

I always liked the akenside until I had my phone stolen by who I believe to be one of the staff - I have read your 'reviews policy' & yes have reported this to the police & have genuine belief that is was a staff member that took my phone - feel free to contact me yo discuss it further.

I'm yet to go in there and have a poor pint, and being a lager drinker mostly I would say that's a decent surprise. Decent range on tap as well which helps, and plenty of tellys to watch ut footy on lad...

This is a party venue - if you don't get it don't review.

In defence of the Trader we had a nice Saturday lunch here - bangers & mash for 4.95

Probaly no reviews because it is complete crap. Awful city centre vertical drinking shop with shocking beer and lots of "wa-hey" clients. Music is too loud at opening time and ear bleeding by late evening. Full of charvers of both sexes and more senior citizens on the pull who should know better. Symptomatic of what has gone wrong with City centre pubs - an example in the worst possible taste.

highly amusing place to watch all the stag and hen parties stumble around. really bad/ good music depending on your mood! the visit was part of a cracking weekend in Newcastle, but I very much doubt I'd ever go back....
