Great old pub, worth a visit just to see the bar fittings. Nice pint of Duechers and Flying Scotsman from Caledonian.

a proper old syle pub great
|
One hand pump serving real ale from local Bull Lane Brewery. Fantastic atmosphere on match days.
|
very friendley pub - normal beers no real ale but "Sauce of the Niall" a very nice local stout. Big Screen and TV free nibbles and very friendly and fast service - very busy on matchday but a great atmosphere although it was St Patricks Day!!!

Good beer? They don't serve any cask ale at all, only Euro-fizz. A crying shame for a pub built by the Caledonian brewery!

Well kept decent pint was very welcome here, and good friendly service. 8/10

how pubs should be

Saturday lunch times they tend to have free food on and kids are tolerated. Very handy.

If you fancy a nice pint in a pub with a bit of history then the Dun Cow is the place to go.Its a far cry from the neon lights and brash music of the surrounding pubs.It has all original features, and a great atmosphere.Theres an exellent Jukebox too.Its ideal for a drink before going to the Empire-which is right next door. You might even see a few famous faces here!
