Wins hands down price wise with the other pubs by the square..yes I know it`s a JDW but the difference between a £7 nosh and a £13 nosh make`s all the difference. Otherwise standard JDW.

My experience differs from some of those below. Yes, many of the ales had coming soon on them but there was still a good choice. The food was cheap and the décor good with a good atmosphere. The service was decent too

Typical JDW. Beer was OK (not the best), food cheap and reasonably good value, though not without fault. Service sadly was poor. Could do better.

No one should ever be surprised by a wetherspoons. They are the same across the land. This is no different?

Certainly not the worst of the JDW pubs i've been in but certainly not the best. Nice enough place, beer was decent with a not too bad choice and good service.

A very pleasant Wetherspoon's when I visited on a Tuesday lunchtime. The bar staff dealt with the large number of customers both courteously and quickly and the food came quickly and was very nice too. My only gripe was the limited choice of guest ales - only two available - but those that there were were in excellent condition. The toilets must also have improved greatly since the earlier reviewer visited - I happened to notice just how sparkling clean they were!

Visited Fri 21st Nov. Pretty typical Wetherspoons fare, most of the pumpclips showing 'Coming Soon', oh yeah we will believe that when we see it. The beers that were on that we had were of poor quality unfortunately and i was looking forward to the Meantime coffee Porter (off) and Mikkel Vikings Return (Cold and dead). Our feet stuck to the floor and the bar was dirty. Poor.

Well worth using before and after a day at the races - a pint of Guinness that you don't have to ask to be topped up ! excellent staff

It was Last Summer when we last used this pub ( so things may have changed ? espesially after I wrote and complained to Lloyds / Wetherspoons )It was a Saturday evening & we had been told that they would Not allow people in after 23.00hrs but then served until 01.00hrs so we got there around 22.00hrs. The place was larger than others we had used in the quaint little pedestrain area in the middle of Warwick With vast amount of tables & chairs outside being unused. But you could count on one hand the amount of customers in the place prior to our arrival. Infact the bar staff probably out numbered the customers. The beers & wines being the standard kind of offering from a Wetherspoons / Lloyds house at the prices that Normal bring the punters flocking.
The toilets STANK of stale p*** and when I brought this to the attention of the Female Manager she would not consider the possibility of me telling the truth say" They are cleaned regularly " May be but a good job was Not being done in the process. Was this the reason the customers had turned their backs on this pub ?? Or was it that shortly after 23.00hrs a mixed number of our group went outsider the doors to have a smoke( No other smoking area made available ) only to be told that they were Not allowed back in to the building by the door staff. Even though they had stood right outside the doors not moving away for a second and well within view of the door staff who had not said anything when they were passed by the group on their way out. They would not allow them back into get coats or handbags or even inform the rest of us of their plight. They had to use their cell phones & ask for their property to be brought to them which in turn resulted in the bringers also be barred from re entry. Like I said I did complain to Wetherspoons who did reply after a few days. But we have not returned to see if the smell or the staff have improved or Not

Typical Wetherspoons set up, just under the Lloyds badging. Understaffed, cold beer etc. Ok on a Sunday lunchtime, otherwise nothing special.

Not just a case of the beers showing not being on, but the special offer food menu was showing food that was not available. Appeared dark and airless in the no smoking area so moved with our food to a table in the main room. The first real ale ordered was served cloudy but was changed when I told the staff it did not appear to be right. Disappointing.

Apparantly this has lost it's late license... So closing at 11pm now!

Nicely laid-out pub with standard Lloyds food and drink. Suffers from usual Wetherspoon chain problems (i.e chronic under-staffing of the bar at peak periods) but you get what you pay for.
