Popped in here for a late-night pint. Having paid £2 to get in and fought my way through the crowd to the bar, wasn't met with the most inspiring selection. Still, three ales on tap is better than your average night club.
Very loud - volume at shouting into your neighbour's ear level - but if you were a single bloke on the pull, could do a lot worse than head here.

Went in there today to meet some friends.
Thatchers Old Rascal was past its best.
Butcombe Gold (Or was it Blonde?), Gem, Ruddles Best and Abbott, so as I couldn't find any decent beer, I had a pint of Guinness, which was fine, but that's about it.

There are worse things in life than being trapped here on a Friday evening just before Christmas , but not many. Gets absolutely rammed full despite the its size and the music is too loud for anything than shouting the odd word to your mates

Like beatles38, the only time I am likely to venture in to this establishment is for an organised work do with my equally young at heart colleagues. We found a quiet spot to enjoy our curry deal (5.59 for a meal and a drink) which wasnt too bad really for the price. OK, so the Balti was probably a bit hot for my taste, but that was entirely my fault, I should have taken more notice of the four chillies on the menu (Baltis never used to be that hot in Wetherspoons though!). I asked for a Blackthorn as part of the meal deal, but was told that the only cider it came with was Strongbow. I asked if I could pay a little extra to have the Blackthorn, but either this was too complicated or his good nature prevailed I got the Blackthorn anyway.

From around 7:30 onwards the volume of music gradually increased and by 8:30 you couldnt hear yourself talk. Now call me old fashioned, but when I go out for a beer I like to converse with my colleagues or friends. If I cant hear what theyre saying, then whats the point? I might as well stay at home and watch the TV. To cap it all there was some idiot DJ babbling on, even though there was not a single person on the dance floor the whole time we were there.

On the plus side, I suppose the actual establishment is not too bad, being quite well presented and with a selection of different areas with the dance floor, tables, leather bench seating and three different levels. Having been forced to drink Blackthorn all night as the only apparent alternative was Strongbow, I was highly distressed when eventually taking the long hike up to the loos to find that they serve Ashton Press in the top bar. Why on earth dont they have a consistent range across all of them, or at least let you know downstairs what alternatives are available upstairs? Perhaps the top bar is for more discerning clientele? I was most upset as Id already ordered my last pint at this point.

Good choice of beers on tap, namely Abbot Ale, Black Chalice, Ruddles Best, Phoenix Double Gold, Leeds Midnight Bell and Marstons Dragons Tale Ale. I cant comment on the quality, although my learned friend who knows about these things informs me that theyre much better kept in the Commercial Rooms and The Knights Templar as this place is for young people.

usually visit this place at the end of the works christmas , which this year live up to its usual standard , that said i won't hold it against the place. A wetherspoons aimed at the young , or like my work colleagues young at heart. lagers you know all that jazz in plentiful supply . That said does 2 or 3 beers which weren't bad , don't ask me what they were as it was crowded ,and I couldn't hear what the bar man was saying . customers seemed in the main polite ,and friendly . can't wait till next year.

Its an ok bar with usual cheap prices for Lloyds establishment, selection of customers ranging from the middle-aged comb -over brigade to young girls in packs drinking too much. Never had a problem in here though-loo is as mentioned a haul to the top of the building, so leave plenty of time to locate to avoid an accident!!

drinks a couple of real ales , lagers etc , . good surroundings you can sit outside , pleasant and roomy, outside nice view. above average per weatherspoons pubs foodwise . busy in the evenings , a pub which caters for teens , young people , though somewhere you can take the family in the evening .

Good atmosphere with reasonable prices, food and drink. The food is not top notch, but acceptable considering the low prices. Lovely views over the waterside if you are near the window too. Could benefit from some better music. If you are in the area definately worth a drink or two in there.

If you're out for a night on the town this is a good all rounder. It is a wetherspoons Lloyds number 1 bar, which is a wetherspoons pub with a dance floor and music. It is large inside. It does attract more yobs than a millwall match and the doormen are rather ignorant. The service behind the bar is slow and as for food, it's pretty standard. There are two floors with an odd if small middle sections between them. It is always busy and particularly so on a weekend. It's situated on the waterfront and this attracts your typical weekend under 25's. Not a mature drinkers pub, but pleasant enough by day

The bar has had a major facelift, it is first class. Excellent beer and ale, really smart staff and great food.

A must in the warmer weather.
