Quite a nice well run little boozer. Just a shame it's on the London Road.

Been a few times now. Proper pub, properly managed (not all 'spoons are!). Good ale selection (to be expected) and all nicely kept. Well done AleenaB!

Agree with Gary1957. Been a few times now, pleasant pub and the regulars say the place has brightened up since the new manageress has settled in. Has more of a "Pub" feel than some 'spoons.

Always a good selection of beers, which are well kept. The new landlady seems genuinely friendly and welcoming, and I'm sure will boost trade.

Can't rate the place yet though!

New Manageress on the way, knows her stuff, will be good!

This is an average Wetherspoons pub, usually has a good selection of real ales plus the usual largers if you're that way inclined.

The staff are friendly and service good and on the one occasion of beer not being as good as expected it was replaced without question. Usual W'spoons menu selection served.

Facilities are looking a little tired and can do with some tlc.

Is this a training pub for Witherspoons as every time I been in there are new staff behind the bar. Service is fair & food is fine & with Wetherspoon you know what you are getting 9/10.

The choice of pubs in Norbury are very very limited Wetherspons& the Norbury Hotel, since they closed the two others a few years ago. One thing about Norbury is that you get great curries etc.

Not a local of mine as such but when we are stuck for somewhere to go we end up here. food is standard but cheap and generally a smokey old man's pub. Last time I went here there was a group of lairy irish people there singing and dancing and insulting the bar staff when they were asked to move on. The police eventually had to turn up to move them on there way!

dropped by for breakfast - not suprised to find the "usual" wetherspoons type crowd already well into a drinking session (at 10.30 am) fairly average - the pub and the beer, though breakfast was very good for the money.

i visited the pub last week and the presentation of the tables was very disappointing.the roses on the table were dead and they were there all week. we were served a cloudy beer but we were lucky to even get a clean glass as they are usually dirty.

40 year old adolescents hanging round in gangs reminiscing over old stabbings , unfriendly bar staff that throw you out 10 minutes past closing time , you're better off going across the road.

i have to say that a couple of months ago i would of agreed with your comments, but i have started to go in there recently and things are starting to change, the numbers of the cavemen at the end of the bar are starting to dwindle, a welcome relief and the atmosphere in their now is actually quite pleasant without all the swearing, the toilets are still awful though, the manager seems to be in there all the time mopping it

Proud pocessor , for a long time , of one of the smelliest gents in London. Your warm white wine with a hint of Ajax and a bouquet of piss. Staff are frequently overrun at the bar even when the place isn't that packed.

Whether it's because they like them or are scared of them the staff give precedence to a moronic bunch of cavemen who happily sat beside the bogs during the worst of the chemical warfare attacks. They seek to intimidate the bar staff by encroaching on their territory and edging behind the bar.

You feel sorry for the staff sometimes as the place is badly run and they are often under a lot of pressure. Not for long though as sooner or later they'll treat you like a kid or a turd so stuff em.

The place was refurbished not too long ago.Shut down for a while and all. Well I would have liked to be on that job. Where's the difference? What was done? And most importantly does anyone give a shit?.
Wetherspoons don't . The place is a badly run dump. However there is only one other pub in Norbury so not much competition. The beer costs more or less the same as in far better Wetherspoon pubs. But the people of Norbury have little choice. As Marie Antoinette said : Let them smell piss.
